So you have registered your domain name, bought web hosting and installed/uploaded your website. It’s working great too. But how to make your sites indexed on Google and other search engines quickly? So here am trying to tell you what exactly you have to do after finishing your website development.
I still remember, when I’ve registered my first blog I had waited for a long time (almost a week or two 
) to see my website on search engines. I was unaware then, where to go and what to do. But whenever I start a new website or blog am proud that I know how to index the site with in 24 hours on search engines.
I dedicate this blog post to the beginners. I know that many of you must be familiar with these techniques. But I think many are still there who don’t know how to make their new websites indexed on search engines quickly. I am sure that these simple tips can definitely help the new guys.
Everything below should be done after completing your website. I mean after you’ve uploaded the files and after making it visible through your web browser through the domain name of your website (www.yourname.com) Avoid copying content, simply add some content that you can call ‘your own’ this will really help you on search engine result pages. Because if your website is having good stuff from the very first stage, search engines will see the quality and uniqueness and will give a good reputation to your website. If you are thinking to make adding content later it’ll definitely take much time.
Okay so let’s check what are all the things that should be done in order to get your websites indexed quickly.
Create a sitemap for your website and submit it Google webmaster tools. Signup there and Authenticate your website there (it’s very simple step by step procedure is shown at Google webmaster tools itself) and do the same with yahoo and msn. Creating a sitemap is very simple. You can even get it done online with free automatic tools. (Sitemap is nothing but a route map of your website). Social Networking and Social Bookmarking
This is a very important thing. Submit your index pages or any of the inner pages to the leading Social Networks and Social Bookmarking sites like Twitter ( tweet your url ), Clipmarking, Jump tagging, Digg, Reddit, Facebook ( post or page ), Stumble upon, Delicious etc. It won’t take much time.
After bookmarking the site, If it is a blog send pings refer previous article – How to Ping Blogs? And if you are able to write some content about your own website try to publish one or two press releases. There are lots of classifieds sites like craiglist, free ads, etc. or find some sites local to you and submit one or two submissions there. This also will help search engine crawlers to see the new website.
So you have done almost. Now you may check your website with various services like Whois, Alexa, compete etc. Don’t avoid this step. It’s very important. You can simply visit these sites give a search for your websites for example at www.whois.domaintools.com in the search box you can give your domain name and search (www.yourdomainname.com) or simply use this http://whois.domaintools.com/www.putyourdomainnamehere.com. There are many other sites similar to Whois where you can search for your website. Some of the main sites are listed below
